this is a video of my box. I don’t have a 5v power supply, I only have 2 48v power supplies and two 12v power supplies. I tried, nonetheless, only connecting one of the dir and step pairs. This didn’t do anything. I keep looking for specs on the motors I bought but they are seeming hard to find. Im not using the enable pins. As far as I thought as long as they aren’t in then the drivers are always enabled. Again I don’t have a 5v power supply. Should I get one? I’ll try inverting them but I don’t think that will do anything either. I shall try though

im over this and am willing to buy all new drivers if I could just wire them up the way I have my current ones wired up. Are there any someone could point me to. From Amazon hopefully

Screw it, I’m buying all new drivers that I know will work. I tried to upgrade this time but I’m over it

You need 5v for the drive and it can be got from the mesa card.  Do you haave the jumpers in the correct position on the mesa card.   If you don't leave feedback  how can anybody help?

There is no need for a 5 v power supply as Clive has said. Just set the jumpers
See my 7i76e video

Those are good drives, don't throw them out.

I’m sorry, but I’m not quite sure where the misinterpretation is coming from. I am not trying to come off sassy or with an attitude. I am just frustrated with my situation and I know these motors I mentioned. I don’t know the ones I bought for this new table.

My drivers are being powered by the 48v power supplies, they are set to give out 30v.

I tried what you said Clive S, I just don’t have a 5v power supply so I’m not sure where the 5v is suppose to come from.  I’m sorry I seem snippy to you.

im just frustrated with my situation.

I’ll watch your video again Rodw, I found some parts confounding but I’ll do my best to follow along. I though all my jumpers were suppose to be set to default

Please show what power supply is connected to the 7I76e  where it is connected you can get the 5V from the card

Can you sketch how you have connected the drive to the mesa card (forget the motor connections) just do a drawing and take a pic with the phone and upload

In my video I refer to Norberts "My 7i76e connection sheet" That covers the connections. (As does the mesa manual)

You are still wiring as differential.  You need to wire it as single ended input like the link I posted.

forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...i76e?start=20#231759

Closely look at the driver wiring

You need 5v from the mesa card have you checked the jumpers on the card.?
