Now I have Z moving in correct direction for homing, but for some reason 7i73 inputs do not react on open or closed switch.
Have to open quite a bit to physically get to the switch block on Z axis (easiest). Will verify with multimeter that the switch is working OK.
I have replaced Z home with cable from +5V (pin25) to input 18 and no reaction if cable is cut so something is fishy but what? 7i73 broken in some ways?

Now I have verified my limit/home switches = all working NC tested with multimeter.
No reaction whatsoever on these inputs, only input I can see is working is the MPG that is counting.
So something is fishy, help please.
Cheers
Bengt

Verified that all jumpers are set correctly.
Encoder Counts
Other inputs work OK, have 3 on my frontpanel.
I am dubious if 7i73 can handle old limitswithes at 5VDC, I expressed this concern earlier and it looks like these inputs might be toasted.

Which 7I73 inputs are you using?
Inputs 8..15 have pullup resistors, so if you use a switch,
the switch common must be grounded to the 7I73s ground
Other inputs (0..7) have neither pullups or pulldowns so these must be added
for sensing switches (note that inputs 0..7 are 3.3V max input)

Inputs 10 to 18 are used for Limits/Home

1. If you connected 5V to the KEY inputs you may have damaged the 7I73 (all inputs except P2 IN 8..15 are 3.3V max)
2. In any case if you use inputs with pullups you must connect them to ground to be sensed (switch common must be 7I73 ground)

Any suggestion on what to move and connect how?
All switches have been connected to 5V. So 10-15 should be OK common grounded, right?
Where to move the rest 3 and connect how?

IN 8 through 15 (P2) and KEY 8 through 15 (IN 16..23 --> P1)
have pullups so can be used with switches with common grounds
No inputs work with common 5V without adding external parts

Those used inputs are TOASTED for sure, now tested with common ground.
I have this board that works with shared X/Y/Z+ X/Y/Z- X/Y/Zhome pins, 24VDC out.
Where to connect on 7i73 and what value on resistors?
Also Index pulse from encoders that are connected to 7i85S how to utilize these?
//edit
Oh no = only 1 free input left
