When i attempt use the set the tool touch off position button, the X Y and Z remains greyed out and does not change values.  Seems like I'm missing something to make those 3 values become active.

Does Remora DMA code exist in other builds other than EC500 specific version OS5/OS6 ?

If not what are your thoughts on what would need to be done for porting the EC500 code to an F4 series target?

Yes, but looking at those always there's something that's not available.
Since I'm out of the United States, I wanna buy all from the same provider.

I'm thinking if it's a good idea to use the next configuration:
1x 6i24-16
2x 7i36
1x 7i44
1x 7i73

One of the 7i36s is if I want to install a fourth axis, but I'm using all the connections on the 6i24.

The next configuration I'm looking at is:
1x 6i24-16
1x 7i48
1x 7i44
1x 7i73

In this one, connectors are unused, and I can control 4 axes, a spindle, and the rest of the machine in both configurations.

Can someone explain to me if one is better than the other (don't taking into account that one has one more connector available)?

I haven't found anyone that used the 6i24 with the 7i48. The 2x7i65 is in the manual of the 6i24. It shows as a supplied configuration.

There is some limitation in the ports or the cards that i can use?
cause looking at it do not say anything like that.
And what are the chance that the second option (7i48) came available soon in mesanet

where did you find the solution for it? i am a day old with linux and i am trying to set up linuxCnc by comparing to my mach3 setting and i went over a few times and when i try to test Y Axis, A Axis does not fallow Y (at least on the test page as i am setting up step config) Pins are correct as i double checked according to my mach3 settings
by the way i am using a g540 board with 4 axis

Now you can just drag a container into any Flex GUI and name it and magically the 3 point center calculator shows up.

I had installed LinuxCNC a few months back, but I didn't use it. I tried two days back to install Arduino, and the date is showing wrong on the taskbar, and I am unable to connect to the internet for browsing.

Let me know what I can do best. I always check the CMOS battery on Windows to see if it is good or not, but this motherboard is under warranty.

Actually I'm going to add that to the Flex calculators so all you need to do is drag a container into the GUI and give it the proper name. You can't get much more flexible than that. I'll also add a go to center button.

I would use Flex GUI because it's super simple to add a Python Module that is connected to the GUI.


Took me about 30 minutes to add the center calculator including debugging the formula from spreadsheet speak to Python speak.

Right, I think the V/F profile is wrong. You were showing 32 Amps on the Omron display when it overloaded. it needs to have the V/Hz turned down quite a bit.
You need to check the spindle manual to find out the correct V / Hz rating and then program that into the VFD.

I'm trying a new approach by removing the PID for orientation and replacing it with a near component.But it's worse; even the speed control isn't working anymore, nothing's moving...Where are my mistakes?
I started from a version with only one pid speed that works.
With errors like ./EL7-schaublin-28.hal:326: Signal 'spindle-at-speed' of type 'float' cannot add pin 'spindle.0.at-speed' of type 'bit'

 

I tried to merge my speed pid with a spindle orientation example from talla83

I am not sure. I am attaching my xml file which I created from a thread online. I also did am xml using ethercat, but they are different.
