G3-Kurven unterschiedlich bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

Chris

Troubles to get started with SD240 Retrofit

Category: Turning

Still struggeling a bit with the homing sequence.
In addition to the home switches I would like to use the encoder index to home. But the index is not found while homing.
So if I write "HOME_USE_INDEX = YES" in the INI, then the homing sequence does not end, even after 4 or 5 motor revolutions the index is not found. The index signal itsself is present- can see it in the oszy, it is also wired to the 7i80, so I assume it is not linked in the HAL correctly.

I hope someone can help me with this issue.

Thanks
Sigi.

Getting the control box together some is being reused from the original system such as the transformer the motor starters.

The phrase "again" wasn't referring to a previously asked question, it's just a "turn of phrase".

Like the other members responding here, I am a bit confused as to "MEM" in the context of Linuxcnc, as far as I was aware gcode isn't "stored in memory for reuse" but reread from a loaded file.

Now whilst you appear to frustrated it is no use getting upset when you are not getting the answer you require.

Now if you can give some details regarding your OS, version of Linuxcnc and any configuration files, that would be great. Even better would be a short video of what is happening.

One must remember that this is a multinational forum and whilst some are fluent in English it is not their native tongue.

Are you sure you are running LinuxCNC?, I've never heard of MEM mode.

... go to MEM,...
Despite reading almost every post on this forum, i have no idea what that means.

... And it'll race through the g code like the entire program was full of G0 commands.
Again, does the machine move at G0 speeds or just the gcode preview on LinuxCNC screen?

MEM refers to Memory Mode. This is where you select a program from the machine's internal memory and press CYCLE START button to run it automatically.

Again? You never asked a question before this, so how is this "AGAIN"?
Ponder this: If "just the gocde preview on the LinuxCNC screen" is the only thing moving, how could it crash if I had a part in there....
Look, if you are not going to read what I posted where I clearly described what happened, there's little reason to continue this conversation.

Just a guess, but I think your screw compensation table is backwards:

"Compensation files must start with the smallest nominal and be in ascending order to the largest value of nominals"

Also of note the units in the RTL File are um so .001mm. Pass 1 is -5 to -170 and Pass 2 is -170 to -5.

The .zip is a zipped .xls file.

Axis_Comp having no effect[SOLVED]

I'm trying to axis comp a machine with a Renishaw ML10 Interferometer. Unfortunately no matter what comp type or file formatting I can come up with I cannot get the system to take effect. The machine is repeating +/- .001mm on every step of the run.

I've been working on this for days and had no luck. I also can't get any feedback from HALSHOW that mentions it in effect or a component related to compensation. My understanding this a rolling backlash table to linuxcnc, hower the values never change. The man pages are extremely sparse, but strait forward. Name a file, stuff it with (Target)  (POS Move) (Neg Move) and select a type 0 or 1.

I am trying to learn how to set this up, so please do not take my comments as "expertise".

Have you checked the MUX2 select pin to see if it is switching when you  start the orient routine?
I would think that you should start with the same pid  parameters  that are used in the "Spindle PID Parameter" int the Orientation section, then work from there.
