You misunderstand the application of 'Tilted Work Plane':
5xis CAM output is indeed short straight lines for simultaneous operations (TCP). The 'Tilted Work Plane' functionality however is used in indexed operations (eg 3+2) only. On a table-table rotary machine an indexed operation is done using trivial kinematics. Hence there is no need or even purpose to define arcs in arbitrary space on such a machine because the tool is always perpendicular to the machine XY-plane.
TWP simply offers the operator a way of creating a WCS by translating AND rotating the currently active work offset system using G68.x codes and automatically orienting the work/tool using G53.x codes.

I'm not sure what makes you think CAM systems do not support G68.x and affiliated TWP codes. These have been supported for years.

Finally getting back to my mill after a long absence.  I ran the update and now have 2.9.3.  I started Linuxcnc from the command line and I am seeing the errors below on the terminal screen. What, if anything should I do about this?

i have similar config with working y axis(vertical) , I removed the y axis because I am doing some modifications on the machine, it exists in the configuration but has no effect, and A, X Z works normally.

Yes, 5 more, so have a look at the downloaded firmwares from Mesa website, there might be something already there, or it might even be the default.

I am planning to make a machine with 5 axes, I have a 7i96s that supports it, but i have to make a tandem for the x axis so that i will have 6 motors(two identical)... is there a chance for additional step generator trough P1(BOB)? Thank you

Hello, I am modifying a sherline lathe with a positional stepper to drive the spindle, and I will have a high speed spindle mounted to the cross slide. 

I am trying to set up this machine but am confused on how to handle the Y axis. For now, I WILL NOT have a Y axis, meaning any of my milling operations will be circular or tending to the spindle center line.

However, in PNCconf, it forces me to define a Y axis - do I have to do this? How can the kinematics be resolved if linuxcnc thinks there is a Y axis but it is not supposed to function. Is there any way to remove Y axis need from the machine?

My Z axis travels along the bed of the lathe to and from the spindle, my X axis travels side to side on the cross slide, and my A axis will be the positional stepper rotating the stock.

This is not a problem in my configuration, because this problem also occurs on a fresh, default qtdragon configuration.
Problem on a real machine, as well as in a virtual machine with a virtual touch plat.

This could be caused by faulty hardware somewhere causing spurious interrupts that consume CPU time.
I am not sure how to troubleshoot that except changing the PC.
You have a lot more ram than needed. 4 GB is fine. Perhaps try removing some in case it is at fault.

Hey sorry im not all that good with Linux but was wondering is someone could help me figure out how to add the a repository to make it so I can install samba server onto the LinuxCNC Debian 12 build?  See ive done it in the past using other versions of Linux and even knew how to add repositories in other versions like Ubunto but now that im constantly switching versions of Linux ive kinda gave up on learning because the commands and file locations are always changing.  My end goal is to be able to have samba running on my cnc mills interface computer so that im able to simply transfer gcode files over wifi from my modeling and posting machine that runs windows.  Ive gotrten tired of having to constantly move files on a micro usb and have to walk from the shop back into the modeling room every time I go to run an operation.  Anyways how can I get the samba repository added so I can run the 'sudo apt install samba' command and not get the

I create and setup on servo drive 2 input for on speed mode and second for position mode

Now I setup in hall for drive spindle in speedmode with Step gen signal
its good work.
