Need help with CNC machine build up

It seems you are using Z pins. So it should be P6 for step and P7 for direction and P1 for enable.

Is the motor shaft locked when you power everything up or can it spin freely if you turn it by hand?

If they are free to move, try reverting enable pin.

You have to know what are step and dir pins.

I see you are missing usb cable to powerup your bob computer-side.

Could you take a closeup picture so we can understand your wiring?

Are you using onboard or PCI card?

Everything is powered up?

For a first try use stepconf wizard. It will create all the files you need to run your test. You can even run motors through the wizard.

Hi, Im building the first CNC machine of my life, I use the sainsmart 5-axis breakout board, MECCANITY step driver and smart automation drivers. I wanna test 1 motor with 1 driver first. The wire seems all correct but i dont know how to configure the files for linuxCNC and i dont really know if my board is actually connected with my PC. Please help, thanks a lot.

Transformer copper is nor worth much tho.

I think toroidal (I'm assuming the transformers in question are toroidal) transformers are wound with wire made from some alloy that is more malleable than normal copper due to the fact that I think the wire must be wound onto the spool, unwound, wound onto the bobbin, unwound, and then finally wound onto the core of the transformer.

"
NO 1 BRITE COPPER $5.95 lb
NO 1 COPPER $5.82 lb
NO 2 COPPER $5.45 lb
TRANSFORMER COPPER $4.62 lb
"

Since copper prices appear to be steadily increasing, likely due to increasing demand and decreasing supply (much of the world's useful copper has already been mined), you might be better off holding onto copper as an investment.

You are probably better off selling the transformers as-ison Kijiji or kraigslist or something.

QtPlasmaC had a wizard that could convert any working config into a QTP config, no idea if it is still included so might want to wait for the developers to chime in.

My recommendation would be to buy a Mesa 7i96s and do it yourself. You will get a better performing machine, probably for the same money without limitations from the parallel port

Well. do you mean to only use that controller and the mentioned machine or use the Mesa 7i96s an build the cnc hardware by myself?

It seems those pics are bit outdated (or I got the wrong link. Here is the official manual:
www.cnc-step.com/wp-content/uploads/2021...-Series_Zero4_EN.pdf
Which clearly has an Ethernet connectivity (page 5 ff).

As for the "direct support" of LinuxCNC: I'm unsure.  This quote from from the specs sheet suggest so:
"Operating System with Software
KinetiC-NC, WINPC-NC, MACH3, EMC, Linux CNC:
Windows / Linux"

Not clear it it actually works with a parallel port.
it has a built in  controller with Ethernet connectivity.
Do they support LinuxCNC directly?

It seems to only have one (LPT like) connector
