I read through your thread (on another forum) where you documented the entire spaceship build. You are a madman, but you have a really cool spaceship!
That thread on plasmaspider is an impostor! (Well just a summary of my build)
The real thread is here on this forum forum.linuxcnc.org/show-your-stuff/32029...cutter-build?start=0
All 69 pages of it. Man I have to bust through that number its kinda suggestive!
Its been a long journey, my Spaceship!
This madman is kinda time poor right now so there is no guarantee the spaceship will fly on a cushion of air before yours does!
I found this pic
See: safe-welding.com/extraction-table-7-fact...cted-during-cutting/
I kinda like how there are no sliding shutters to get stuck and how the air ram uses the hatch it opens to shield itself against sparks. I think I might use a dual rod air ram if I go this way.

I think your only problem with your design will be the plasma dust building up on your rams and being abrasive. I know first hand how destructive the plasma dust can be.
A simple cover over the top should keep them safe, apart from that its taking shape nicely.

Man, that sure is a fancy air install! Is the top row to adjust the ram speed?

Yes. it's probably overkill but I saw no reason to stop at this point.
I started mounting the electronics onto the back plate, the one that goes in that small aluminum cabinet, today as well. My plan is to get the table going, working with the air gates, and hold off on DTHC for now. What do you think?

Why would you hold off oh the THC? Its pretty simple to get going with PlasmaC.
With the effort you have gone to with your table I would say getting the THC to work should be pretty easy.

I was trying to think of something to say but I'm speechless after that!
But yes, its pretty easy to finish it off with a THC with Plasmac. 2 wires from plasma to THCAD and 4 wires from the THCAD to your mesa card! Its pretty well tuned and ready to go out of the box.

Its not like a CandCNC system where they make it out to be this super special industry secret that only Tom Caudle knows how to make work. Any one on this forum can walk you through the process if you need help.

Yeah I might of went a a bit too far, but I once had one of their systems and when you ask a question about something like that they make it out to be a big deal. And since using a THCAD10 and PlasmaC its a pretty straight forward process to get set up and running.
I have pretty much the standard PlasmaC THC settings and my machine works perfectly everyday.

Perhaps I am traumatized after using 'their' equipment, and their forums for that matter...

Sounds like you and Stefan, thefabricator share some common ground.
I don't ever remember changing any THC settings, it just worked out of the box!
