Just a suggestion (I know this is still in development and I know you'll get around to doing it properly with a set of documents for QTPlasmaC), but it may be helpful to use the kindly provided install script before trying to run QTPlasmaC or it will fail on a new clean install of LinuxCNC via live CD with the master branch update
forum.linuxcnc.org/qtvcp/38414-installing-qtvcp#157829
(also means I can find this later when I'm scratching my head trying to get it to work as its a nice clean screenset)

Seperate item.... does no one run a 4th Axis with PlasmaC? (Tube Cutter?)

For round tubes just use the X or Y axis as rotary, set the distance for it in ini to the exact circumference of the material you're cutting and that is it. Make a config for each size of tube.

Working on it, but for square tubes.

I have a rotary plugin for sheetcam and it uses 4 axis for square tube.
This is going to sound a daft question..... but where are the QTPlasmaC screen.ui files saved on install?
(still learning my way around linuxcnc)
Thanks in advance

Phill, helppppp !
Sheetcam does have 4 axis square tube, but i never used it as it is not included in the free version for Linux.
I have to find a way to pay for it besides cryptocurrencies, and since we got here:
Les, do you accept Bitcoin or Ethereum ?

I was wondering the same thing as the only ui file in the config folder is for the small window with buttons for float/ohmic/etc.This is going to sound a daft question..... but where are the QTPlasmaC screen.ui files saved on install?

On a RIP install they are in:
~/linuxcnc-dev/share/qtvcp/screens/qtplasmac (or qtplasmac_4x3 or qtplasmac_9x16)
On a package intstall they are in:
/usr/share/qtvcp/screens/qtplasmac (or qtplasmac_4x3 or qtplasmac_9x16)

has something changed in the last couple of days with the 2.9 master?
I ask because when I create a QTPlasmaC instance via the LinuxCNC + select > sample configurations >> QTPlasmaC, and select the "create desktop shortcut"
It doesn't create one,
then when I restart LinucCNC via the configuration selector and select qtplasmac_S_metric it loads
but stops with an error sayin QTvcp encountered an error
File "usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/qtvcp/widgets/ system_tool_button.py", line 106, in set_user_system_text
self.setText(convert[int(data)])
KeyError: 0
what have I failed to do in my latest install (I've reinstalled linuxcnc a few times playing around with kernels trying to get an ax200 wifi module running {yes I know the issue with internal wifi.... but it not affecting my latency (yet / I don't think so)
Any guidance as I'm sure its my end would be great, thanks,
