On 99.999999999% of what i deal with is cutting 3mm thick plates with decor, so a mm here or there is not important, and the only correction i do is add 3mm to outside dimensions to compensate the cut. That usually lands in the 0.2 to 0.4mm tolerance, as the kerf width depends heavily on the speed and current and thickness and humidity and ......

It has no effect on THS (EDIT: or THC for that matter), it is just a different method to get the Arc OK signal.Edit: Phil will using this method effect the THC ?
It would only be kerf if you used G41.1 or G42.1 in the GCode. When you drew the part did you have the torch on the right side of the cut.Re the over size and under size is that a kerf param?. to change. the gantry travels the correct distance over 1200mm
@Tom. That reed switch is a great idea Tom. I think it might be worth adding to the appendix of the PlasmaC doc.

That part was drawn as a DXF and passed to sheetcam outside cut clockwise inside cut anti clockwise. First time using sheetcam
using the PP from Rod I think.
So I will check the code in the morning.

Yup, i do agree, but please rip off the pictures from Clive as i am all out of working plasma sources for now, it looks like those 15 or more APC UPS's will come in handy these days, they do have some hefty transformers in them, will do just fine for testing but not for prolonged use, and i think i have some 3 phase 50A rectifiers and some 160A SCR's in the shop......hmm.... current controlled by Linuxcnc...... . TIMEEEEE, i need time, or 4 more copies of myself !@Tom. That reed switch is a great idea Tom. I think it might be worth adding to the appendix of the PlasmaC doc.
Wait, did i say the rip of part out loud ? Oh cr.....

You could add at the very beginning that it is effective and very reliable, this never fails.

I personally don't think build hints should go in the software manual. They belong in the Plasma primer which deals with hardware.
And its included in the latest update that as you know is coming soon! Pending the publisher now!
