Man this is so strange. I haven't heard of these issues before and I get it twice on the same day.

Now I am overthinking it and I bet it will turn out to be simple.

Like like a long day tomorrow.

Phill. I am happy to do any probe testing if you want me to do so as well.

@Phill,
Go get some rest, you deserve it.
It will take another month until i can finish any of the two machines i am building, this CCP thing halted every damn thing.

@Tom,
I like the images in the Extras panel...

Hmmm you noticed...
Was messing with it, but i could not get them to do anything, except showing the greyed out picture.
More research is in order.... but i was busy actually doing some work today.
While i was there, i also gave the included extras a run, pretty damn usable and very easy to use. Respect.
Side note: did you have a chance to check this :
forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-q...elocity-fluctuations
?
Can you please do some test and "nor confirm nor deny" that ?
Thank you.

External commands need to be preceeded with a % sign.

Thanks, I recently pushed a couple of changes so that holes should work properly...

If I wanted a 30mm probe height what is wrong with using:
bottom + 30mm which would be -86mm + 30mm = -56mm.

I could have done that but I thought 30 (above the bottom) would be easier. Or did I misinterpret?

Now that i re-read the whole topic again, i see why you would see that as a better way of looking at it, and i do agree with you.
New users to CNC have not much info on how the Z axis is set up in mills and plasma's, so for them any way is correct, but for mill users that is .... different.
I stand corrected, it is much easier to use 30mm above material than thinking where the 0 was and how deep is now -30.
Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.
All in all, after 2 days of messing with PlasmaC, it is a very enjoyable experience.
And again, that extras panel will save me a lot of time as it is very useful for 60 to 70% of what i do personally, and 10 to 20% of what some of my clients do. Now i have to go switch them to PlasmaC, if and when this CCP s#it has subsided, as it will never be over, or at least for several years.
-
Just for clarity : CCP = China's CoronaVirus Pandemic, i did not make that up, seen it on youtube.
Dang i almost forgot, the retraction speed after the switch is tripped, where do i change that ?
