Raspberry Pi 4 with PlasmaC was created by phillc54
I had a bit of a play with a Pi4 today.
It is running Debian Buster with LinuxCNC 2.8 from the Buildbot and using a Mesa 7i96.
Dry run testing worked well then I tried a real cut but about half way through I got a strange error from hm2_eth (I think, in my rush I forgot to write it down  )
I then changed the servo period to 2000000nS and proceeded to do about 20 odd cuts without fail and PlasmaC seemed to perform well at that slow rate.
I will play a more but so far it looks like a reasonable prospect.

Nice to read that !

Is it a full stand alone system with it's own screen or remote from a computer ?

At this stage I am SSHing into it. If it proves to be worthwhile I might make a GUI for a small touch screen.

Using Windows Terminal Services client (MSTSC) is also very usable acessing a raspberry 3 if you install a RDP client. I've got a couple here with PoE hats to power them...

Ooops, I forgot Phill is a Mac man. I'll let you translate MSTSC to mac speak. I am a Chromebook convert myself!

I could use Screen Sharing on the Mac which gets me into all my other Linux boxes using VNC except the Pi which uses RealVNC and won't connect. I may change it out for one of the other VNCs that do work but SSH is good enough for testing, it looks neater too.

Pretty sure I installed XRDP in the Pi. It just worked.

I use xrdp quite often on different kind of systems. On start you have a dropdown choice of clients. Never did it but might run with mac too.
