I was looking to buy a 7i92M just a few weeks ago (for use with a 7i77 that I aldready have) and asked Mesa about availability. There won't be any regular 7i92M's anytime soon since the required chips have a lead time of more than 1 year apparently, but they have a variant on its way: a 7i92TM. Peter said it was "probably 8 weeks or more" away though (this was end of june).
I ended up getting a 7i96S and will use it to hook up my 7i77 via IDC-to-parallel flat cable. A bit more expensive and takes up a bit more space, but it does result in an Ethernet-connected 7i77!
Edit: *And* it gives me lots of GPIO, both isolated (7i96S) and not. Plus an analog isolated pot type output in case I want to hook up a VFD some time in the future. Plus several stepgens if I ever need to use a stepper motor. Pretty nice combo for maximum flexibility!

Based on availability it doesnt seem that there are many options available.
I would go for a 7i77 and a 7i94 from Mesa. Both are available.
6 encoder input interfaces is going to be used for x y z spindle and mpg. Leaves one spare for a 4th axis later on....
that should have enougj io for your machine.
i would be tempted to add a 7i70 for additional io to use for the panel buttons. It looks like your machine use standard buttons for jogging, cycle start etc. You can wirr thr overrides to the 7i70 as well. Mount it in the oparators panel

@Henk
Mesa 7i77 has two MPG encoder inputs in addition to 6 high speed encoders.
7i76 and 7i76E also have two MPG inputs.

I will use an office computer that I have so I have lots of space,
Yes, it looks likes many of the cards like 7i97 and 7i92 and many more is out of stock.
7i77 seems like a good option, is it compatible with the 7i94?
The outputs that I need and can think about right now is the gearbox with 3 gears, cooling water and possibly some warning lamp. + all the ones I dont know that I need yet 6 would probably work but it seems to me to be a little low.

7i77 and 7i94 is compatible.
I would add a 7i70 as well, available from eusurplus.
I have used this combo on a maho mh600c recently.

Okey.
How are they connected though?
I only see RJ46 connectors on the 7i94. Do I need some special cable connected to the 26-pins on the right side?

You need a standard ribbon cable with a 26pin idc connector on one side and a db25 connector on the other side. I normally get the connectors and ribbon from my local electronics store and assemble it myself. You could probably get one from mesa as well.
Mount the 7i77 and 7i94 close together to keep the ribbon cable short as possible. Stay as far away from the servo and spindle drive as you can.

Alrigt, I have ordered 1 pice 7i77 and 7i94 and it should be here on thursday.
I have photographed the drawings and will upload them on drive when I get Wifi again.
I've started to see if I can find everything on the machine. So far I have identified all of the 0-10v motor control cables and linear sensors.
Have I understand it correct that there is one enable signal to the motor and +10v means full speed one direction and -10v full speed the other direction?
I have not seen any model number or anything on my linear sensors, I'm not sure how they work and how to plug them in the Mesa board.

Yes.
The enable is usually a pin that has to be tied to ground/common to enable the drives, not always.
That and more should be in the schematics, avoids making assumptions.
