I am a bit puzzled as to who this Gamet is. Gamet was a bearing manufacturer in Colchester, though I think that they have now been absorbed into Colchester lathes, moved to the Harrison works in Heckmondwike and now, apparently, based in Elland.
There is also an Indian chuck manufacturer called "Gamets" - www.gametschucks.com Which I suspect are unrelated...
I see references to "Pratt-Burnerd Gamet chuck" on that eBay, so I think that you probably need to be talking to the 600 group. www.colchester.co.uk/spares/

Hmm, but, also, I see Gamet boring heads, made in France..
And it seems that Gamet bearings are now part of HB bearings, in Holmfirth.

Hi Andy, correct, it is Gamet in France who made, makes and still supports the power chuck business. No idea if they were ever associated with Gamet the bearing manufacturer.

Nice work! Good catch that you had to prime the pump. I would have had no idea why it didn't work.
I have no real experience with these things, but if it was my beautiful Schaublin I would remove the motor and turn the screw by hand through its full range of motion to feel that everything was alright before applying the full motor torque.

I dont get it, I have Hall sensors outputting a 4V "High" signal into a 7i84 with the Field voltage set at 5V for that bank, but am not getting a LO-->HI transition in the HALshow. The 7i84 should go high above about 2.6V or so.
Any troubleshooting advice appreciated.

What type of hal sensor?
What output does it have?
Might need a resistor as pull up or pull down.
Some give variable voltage on the output depending on magnetic field.
