I´ve ran the "normal" latency test...
okay, what about the encoder question ?
There are
I/O Connector 2 - a lot of unused Inputs ?
I/O Connector 3 - this one has 0-5 Encoder inputs
SS #0 I/O
SS #1 PWM
Under I/O Connector 3 there are dropdowns where i can select "Axis Encoder".
Are those meant to be used for glasscales or encoders from the servo drives ? Or do the servo drive encoders only respond to the amplifiers ?

Okay i’m feeling quite dumb right now.
I’ve run the Pncconfig wizad and i think it is okay so far. But i get the error message when starting linuxcnc that it can find all the i/os (at least the first one written in the hal, but when outcommented itś just the next that throws the error)
So heres my setup to power the two boards.
5i25 has the mesa cable on P3 and W2 and W1 are up
7i77 W5 up, W1 right, +11V to the orange field powerblock. Pin 1-4 are +11v and pin 8 is gnd
the LED on the top left corner next to the two pin power connector is OFF
CR16 bottom right side next to mid OFF
two yellow LEDs almost in the middle yellow premanent on
cr3 next to W1 permanent yellow

yeh i got that, but doesn´t that give overvoltage to the 5i25 while it is set to delivery the 5v vin ?

Again, W1 on 7i77, that is for the Vfield and Vin, it ties them together so you do not need to supply two separate voltages to the 7i77.
W5 on 7i77 is for 5V from 5i25.
W5 on 7i77 should be on the left hand side, not UP as you mentioned.

Okay...itś running now. I don t know why.

+12V to TB2 pin 1-5
