When Nick Müller converted his MH700C a few years ago, his also had the Phillips scales. He is a talented guy with electronics, but was not able to decode the Phillips scales and ended up replacing them them with some modern ones. I'm pretty sure all the modern ones like Mitutoyo, or the chinese copies are all TTL quadrature output, although most cheap ones are normally 0.005mm resolution, and the Mahos were built with 0.001mm resolution.

The thread is in German so you'll have to put it through google translate. It is here:

In recent times I have been a sympathizer of Chinese products (online shopping).
Can you tell me a reliable place where I can get scales TTL for my retrofit?
Do you have any Chinese reference brands that advise me?
Thanks
José Fernandes

Try the Ditron scales. You should find them on Alibaba/aliexpress. well priced and great quality. Fitted them with their DRO on a lathe in the past and got good results.

I think it is possible (that looks like PathPilot (based on reading the logo))
There are threads on here about running PathPilot on a non-Tormach machine. My impression is that it turns out to be more trouble than it is worth.

I'd also recommend you start with one of the widely used, prepackaged GUI such as Axis or gmoccapy. Don't ge too hung up on GUI layouts, until you have the machine up and running. If you still consider the eye candy important, switching between the supported GUI is very easily done by changing a line in the INI.

I have a problem. I stopped working for a few days on the Linux desktop and ended up forgetting the password. I reinstalled linux but at this time there are no shortcuts / files that existed before (gmoccapy is one of them,,, and others). How can I solve this? Is it possible for me to create gmoccapy and others?

In the latency test I have these values, is it ok? Desktop I have with linux is new.

Did you save the configs folder from your old installation ?
if you did all you have to do is copy them to the usual folder like /home/your_user_name/linuxcnc/configs/ and make new shortcuts on the desktop.
If you did not you have to do the new configs.
Latency looks very good.

I am still in the installation phase, and the first time when I installed the linux operating system, gmoccapy appeared by default, as I lost the password I reinstalled again but now it did not appear by default. Before it was not me that I created, so if gmoccapy before appeared by default, why now it has not appeared

If you replace the entry for AXIS with the following in your Ini, does it not start with Gmoccapy?

[DISPLAY]
DISPLAY = gmoccapy
