In "toms_test.hal", you need to uncomment this line (remove the #):
Code:
#net plasmac:arc-voltage-in => plasmac.arc-voltage-in

in "custom.hal", the following two lines are redundant, delete them (they are in toms_test.hal already):
Code:
setp hm2_7i76e.0.encoder.00.scale -1 setp hm2_7i76e.0.encoder.00.counter-mode 1

in "custom.hal, add the following line:
Code:
setp hm2_7i76e.0.encoder.01.filter 1

As Rod pointed out, your Voltage Scale and Voltage Offset need to be set. They are located in the ARC section of CONFIGURATION section on the PARAMETERS tab. You can use the numbers on the white label on the rear of the THCAD for the arc voltage and this calculator to get the values: jscalc.io/calc/NTr5QDX6WgMThBVb

Also, double check that the values for these lines in "custom.hal" match the white label on the back of the OHMIC THCAD:
Code:
setp ohmicsense.thcad-0-volt-freq 138300 setp ohmicsense.thcad-max-volt-freq 966400

I did attach the updated files as well for the changes I mentioned at the top.

If you use PnCconf on an existing config and add an arc voltage enoder it will put the required scale and offset values in a file ending in "new" in the config directory.

THCAD freq numbers for each

THCAD-10
0 volts == 123.0 K
10 volts – 946.8 K

THCAD -5
0 volts == 138.3 K
5 volts == 966.4 K

I'd rather not confuse Tom at this stage. We can tell him what the values should be.
Tom, also in your ini file
Code:
MAX_VELOCITY = 35 MAX_ACCELERATION = 17 # The values below should be 25% larger than MAX_VELOCITY and MAX_ACCELERATION # If using BACKLASH compensation STEPGEN_MAXACCEL should be 100% larger. STEPGEN_MAXVEL = 44 STEPGEN_MAXACCEL = 22
Make sure STEPGEN_MAXVEL and STEPGEN_MAXACCEL should be double the values above. ie.   for JOINT-0
Code:
# The values below should be 25% larger than MAX_VELOCITY and MAX_ACCELERATION # If using BACKLASH compensation STEPGEN_MAXACCEL should be 100% larger. STEPGEN_MAXVEL = 25 STEPGEN_MAXACCEL = 100

Well I was just saying that the values are already calculated and in a file...

Why double the stegen values when not using backlash compensation, I have never found the need for that.

Yeh, I stuffed up there and the forum makes it too hard to edit.
This should be correct though
Code:
MAX_VELOCITY = 35 MAX_ACCELERATION = 17 # The values below should be 25% larger than MAX_VELOCITY and MAX_ACCELERATION # If using BACKLASH compensation STEPGEN_MAXACCEL should be 100% larger. STEPGEN_MAXVEL = 44 STEPGEN_MAXACCEL = 22
