seems to work though. should we try to run it on every flavour to ensure compatibility? Im stubborn enough to do it. im working on downloading a few isos for the diffrent os. i want to start with a debian system. unless you have specific priorities.

With Ubuntu I do not install package in Software Center I grab it from here with the extension pack

www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

you want

VirtualBox 4.3.34 for Ubuntu 13.04 ("Raring") / 13.10 ("Saucy") / 14.04 ("Trusty") / 14.10 ("Utopic") i386 | AMD64

I know it says it is the same version but it is a little different

It will not work on Debian I have already tried it, just Ubuntu and Mint . I plan on trying it on all flavors which would you prefer to test Ubuntu or Mint or a little of both.

Let me test the 64 bit installs my work laptop is a I7 and has allot of memory and I can dedicate multiple CPU's to VM

The problem you were having might be if you have not installed extension pack within the guest OS of VM.

I will try to download ISO's tonight when I get home at work, here they have the internet throttled back it will take over 2 hours just for one ISO

Note within a VM when you start lcnc you will get realtime delay faults. It should still run if it fails close lcnc then retry. That is because latency is so high in VM and there is nothing you can do about it. If a install will not run for you in VM let me know and I will try on my desktop sometimes it makes a difference in realtime OS.

Virtual box is moving much slower than i would like. I have extra hard drives, it might be easier for me to just use a different hdd. i'll print out a disc with as many os's as i can fit then i can just do a disk install on it. I should be able to fit 3 maybe four a disc.

64 bit install from ISO worked with all that I checked which included Linux Mint 17.1 and 17.2 and 17.3
What I checked
Mint
Cinnamon (64-bit)
KDE (64-bit)
MATE (64-bit)
Xfce (64-bit)

Ubuntu 14.04.3
Ubuntu.desktop (64-bit)
Ubuntu GNOME (64-bit)
Kubuntu (64-bit)
Lubuntu (64-bit)

If you would like some help checking 32 bit installs let me know what you haven't checked and I will start on some of whats left.
