Multiple Mesa 7I84 I/O board setup

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

That took care of it!
removed the existing mesaflash folder since git couldn't clone with an existing folder of the same name, did the sudo make install and was able to right away get the info from the board with mesaflash --device ethernet -addr 192.168.1.121.
Ran the mesaflash --device 7I94T --addr 192.168.1.121 --set ip=10.10.10.11 and I can ping both the 7I96S and the 7I94T through a switch.

Do I need to flash a particular .bin file for the 7I94T and the 7I84s?

Thanks!

Probe Interface Board Design (resistance switching)

Category: Driver Boards

I have 2 simple classic cast iron rectangle precision levels 0.02mm/m (one new made in china and one old made in germany ) the problem is that they lost calibration and are very difficult to use them succesfully in practice.
I have tried the communicating vessels approach and was much easier in practice
cheaper and does not need calibration .

I should also mention that some of the MainWindow translation will get overwritten by the HandlerClass so the translations will need to be done in both. CYCLE START is an example.

Warning: Spoiler!

I copied your two files to share/qtvcp/screens/qtplasmac/languages and ran QtPlasmaC on master branch with the standard screen size and it works here:

What version of LinuxCNC are you using and what QtPlasmaC screen?

I get this error when I try and and read the device with mesaflash --addr 192.168.1.121 --device=ETHER --readhmid:
unsupported ethernet device 7i94t at 192.168.1.121 no ether board found

From what I've read is it could be that I need to update the mesaflash version, I currently have 3.4.9. Is there a clean way to update Mesaflash or should I remove it and install the latest version?

Actually Tom from the IRC programmed the subroutines and made that GUI I just gave him the tools to do the job. Flex GUI is getting to be quite flexible and powerful. I like to think of Flex GUI is like LinuxCNC you can do anything you can think of and you're not forced to use what some programmer thinks you need.

Homing accuracy question

Hi I am using a Mesa board 7i96s for a milling machine. The machine has a proximity switch NPN type and step motors (open loop) for the homing sequence. The machine does not have problems finding the home position. It travels to the homing sensor and has a hard stop. In the manual, I found the homing sequence and configuration paragraphs. As I understand, the machine can reach the home position more precisely if I apply the required settings. I have tried different settings, but nothing works. I want to have the following sequence settings:1. Move to the home sensor - using home search velocity.2. When the sensor gets a signal - move back 0.5 of an inch.3. Return to the sensor - using the home latch velocity.4. When the sensor gets a signal - move back 0.25 of an inch.5. Move to the home sensor - using the home final velocity. If that is possible for the current equipment, please help. Also, I attached the screenshots of the current settings. Please let me know what I should change to have work that describes the above sequence. Thank you.

Hi Tommy,

Thanks.

No blender is used so far !

What you see are original qt widgets.

I foresee a lot of happy people, thanks to you.
Maybe. Hahah.
A lot off people are also happy with you, including me.
But most won't see the source code as we are hosted on codeberg.
This is a non profit organisation from Berlin Germany.

The source code so far:
codeberg.org/skynet/nodelib#readme

Good night all folkes.
