wierd problem after update....

Category: Qtvcp

Well, haven't worked with the mill for a while, but back at it.  Have some parts to make for cash.
I updated to the latest .deb on buildbot2:   linuxcnc-uspace_2.10.0~pre0.3238.g28fc559dc4_amd64.deb
Ok, works fine.  I use a simple .bat file to copy a few files:  .ui, .qrc, .qrs, and the handler.
Been working file for a several previous updates.
This time I'm getting a very weird error.
I run from a cmd window, so I can see what's going on.
Now, it's getting stream of messages in the cmd window.   See the image.
What the heck is that all about?
This is the message:    (time=1718493234.121713,pid=13891): rcs_sem_post(0) called
It just streams, fast.
Linuxcnc and QtDragon seem to be functioning ok.
I copied out the cmd window, trimming a very series of messages.  see the txt file
Also, here is my .ini file.
So, what's going on?   how can I get rid of this messaging????
Please help.

Nothing happens if

home_offset = -1

or

home_offset = 0

the machine still can go to the switch.

This is how I solved for now: moved all axes 1mm out from home 0 point.

This is not a good solution, just temporary, but working. Still not understand how soft limits work (in lcnc), and how to stop the machine in a distance from the switches.

Here is the latest ini. Still having issues while powering off lcnc, but after homing, jogging from 0,0,0 to any other point, and power off, does not complaining about softlimits. Am I missing something?

Probe Basic is splitting into Stable and Develop apt branch

Category: QtPyVCP

Hey all, Apologies for any frustrations, we had a bug sneak by that some of you may have experienced, an error traceback popping up.. that was from a update we thought we had resolved but it needs some more work. we have reverted a few things to get everything back to normal running, the develop and stable branches are both back up and running and the instructions to swap between both have been updated as of a few minutes ago, we discovred it requires a couple more lines to uninstall and then reinstall after changing the source list for the desired repository, but the instructions are up, simple and very clear on how to bounce between versions!

Thank you for your patience and underdstanding!

Absolute homing

Category: General LinuxCNC Questions

This iw working now. Welcome to the party.

But still have to comment out everything about servo homing, and from the ini as well.

But now when the machine is on, everything is homed automagically.

# ABSOLUTE HOMING ON ALL AXES
# If internal homing is commented out on all drives and in the INI file (#HOMEMOD=el8_homecomp), this will home the machine when powering on.
net machine-on  halui.machine.is-on => halui.home-all
