When it was moving to the next peck. I hit stop and selected the line going to the peck and right clicked the gcode and ran from line.

This has a 3 second delay after each spot.

This has no probing at the spots (eg no Z axis motion) and no torch firing even at 999 ms. So what am I missing in the config if spindle 2 is not turning on?

It is odd that it did #1 & #3 but not #2 or #4...

Just change the G4 P3 lines to say G4 P5 and see if that makes a difference. There are five of them.

No luck Phill,

Same thing happened. I see the torch on light coming on so its trying to tell the plasma to fire, I am not sure why it does not fire though. Its not like is it happening too fast for the plasma to be able to fire.

OK then try something silly like G4 P10 that should at least eliminate the delay as the problem.

You did reload the GCode file after editing?

OK tried G4 P10, no luck,

And yes I made sure I could see that code in the Axis gcode display.

Was the behaviour the same, do #1 & #3 miss #2 & #4.

It doesn't make any sense to me.

Does your relay have a light to show it is doing something? (although the pulse is probably a bit quick)

Ok, guys, I worked it out I think!

There is a deliberate delay in the plasma machine to allow gas to flow. After removing the 3 second delay, I got reliable spotting at 220 ms but not at 200 ms.
At one stage when being too fast (maybe 150ms), I could see the air start to flow on the first pierce which missed firing and then the second hole fired becasue the gas was flowing!

So I think Phill is kinda right. You need to wait until the arc fires say > 20 volts or something and then count down the delay then turn off.

At 220 Ms, it was not as fine as I was hoping for but better than waiting for an ArcOK. the 2mm sheet was just pierced with a pin prick. But I need to edit the file becasue it is selecting Stefan's settings which was 6mm steel on my machine and I was cutting 2mm..
