Norbert,
Great stuff!! I say release it as is for this version. Might as well since its already done and it gives people who know how to play with the screen the ability to leave the buttons if they want them. I love options. This is becoming a great screen! Keep up the good work! Can't wait till you put up the new release. Any time frame on the industrial version? Sounds more like the version I am after.
A quick question on editing. Is there any documented list of commands implemented in gscreen? I would like to add a couple of buttons myself but I cant find much on documentation.
Thanks,
Wes

Halo Wes,
I will release the next with the buttons, so users have more time to play with that feature and decide some time later about keeping them or not.
I do like options too, that's why there are so many settings available to the user on the settings page, and I have some more in mind, but unfortunately all the options make more and more control structures in the code necessary, leading to very complicated code some times.
Unfortunately the internals off gscreen and also gmoccapy are not very well documented. I will not do this ether, because that would cost so much time, that all other stuff would suffer, but in my code there are a lot of comments and in most cases this do explain, why I do that in one or the other way. Feel free to check out the code.
If you would like to add own button, the best way is to do that with gladevcp panels. There is an excellent documentation for that:
GladeVCP
What buttons you need?
What functions you want to control?
Norbert

gmoccapy_0_9_9 - new DRO with new feature has been pushed
ver. 0.9.9
- introduced a new DRO, showing all three positions (Abs, Rel, DTG) at ones
user can toggle the DRO by clicking on them
- The new DRO also indicates the actual coordinate system
- The new DRO will change its units according to the active gcode (G20 / G21)
- There are still the three buttons, but they are hidden by default,
this can be changed on the settings page, but when the buttons are visible,
the user looses the auto units feature of the DRO
Hope too get the permission from the users to delete that button as soon as possible
- made the documentation for IconViewFileSelection
- made the documentation for Combi_DRO
- This change saved some lines of code in gmoccapy.py and made the code
a lot easier to understand
- updated German translation
- updated Spanish translation

That look is proffesional
Have not yet tried, but will sooner or later invest time into it.
Call it something like NgMMI gext generation Man Maschine Interface
MMI is very well known expression in industries.
Your work earns strong wording

JT,
That should be solved, there was an error with the first push.
Please make a new pull, then it should work.

Thanks Norbert, it comes up now.
I get a couple of errors about not being able to open a file <> when I start up.
Can you change the color of the DRO? Red is a bad color for people suffering from protanopia who are unable to perceive any ‘red’ light and this affects a substantial portion of the human population.
My first thought other than red displays is it is clean and neat. I'll have to copy my configuration to it and test it out some.
Why do you have the back plot and gremlin?
Thanks for all the work.
