Here goes. I actually have some 3 or 4 year old parts (same butterfly .dxf) that came off a industrial laser. While the quality is definitely better, the plasma one from today is very close in quality IMO. I'll dig it out and do a comparison pic or two.

Yes of course I never thought of that !! This might overtake the spanner
Be carefull Clive, if you do cut imperial gcode on a metric machine then you need to set up an imperial material to suit.
