Aren't the MGM style the low profile/thin ones that I seem to recall seeing on some 3D printers?

Since i do have HGH25 i might end up using 3 MGN12 for the X and Y and use 2 HGH25 for Z, should be enough to hold about 2KG without wobbling ! Poor Ender 5 Plus...

MGN, yes those are the ones, luckily/unfortunately i will have to buy some skinny ones, MGN12 to retrofit one of my printers and i will need at least 3 of them - preferably 7 but there are only 4 in stock locally at 50 euro a piece so that made up my mind = 4 it is !Aren't the MGM style the low profile/thin ones that I seem to recall seeing on some 3D printers?

Tommy, before setting your plan, have a look at rail lengths on P 85.
Using MGN may result in a very small plasma table!

But it is not plasma, so for a 3D printer with 350x350mm bed makes it a big one, although i have even bigger at 450x450x470mm, 3 of them !

It will be small for sure, the length of the MGN12 rails is 400mm !Tommy, before setting your plan, have a look at rail lengths on P 85.

Heh - my hypercube parts list is for 300x300.
But pretty confident my linear rails are not MGM grade. They are proper chunky 15mm full height rails with the wide mount bearings. Heck putting the rail on is going to nearly double the weight of the gantry beam.

Managed to prove the machine torch today as well as splice into the Cutskill's trigger circuit.

Back into build mode after a long break. Was up to 1am with work so filled in some waiting time getting the gantry beam sorted.
Having a decent sized mill help with accurate hole drilling. Of course a drill press would have probably achieved similar. I have seen people do all the holes with centre punch and hand power drill. I just do not seem to be able to get good results that way.
Mounted and ready to think about the carriage and drive belt.

i read many of Tommy’s threads, advice articles and asked some questions. Nothing new in these reduction systems. Following the well documented and proven path curtesy of Tommy. Cheers.Hmmm... i wonder, where did i see that type of reduction...
