I made the changes in the Pncconf to have both limits and home for the 3 axis. It does work, but the operation (pointed to) in the attached image does not for each of the axis. I moves toward the home, I trip the switch and it stops moving then continues in the same direct slower. When I hit the switch again it backs off and sets the DRO to 0.0.   I have tried changing or adding lines in the INI, but cannot make the first back off the switch work.

I am also getting the attached error randomly which seem to be for no reason I can connect

Another problem is the axis move very slowly I built 8 tables using the exact same drivers, motor, and gearing for each axis.  I have change the switch selections for different steps per rev (this only changes the calculations for the steps per inch).  The only difference is the software, I have used Mach and UCCNC on the others, this is the first Linuxcnc.
Note in passing here is a picture of my other table with the new tables moving assembly mounted for testing with the new controller and linuxcnc.

A couple of things.
1. Home switches MUST remain triggered all the way to the end of travel
2. If using a mechanical switch, you may need to use the debounce component. Its possible that contact bounce causes the back off to be registered prematurely. See  linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/man/man9/dbounce.9.html
I don't think you can do that in pncconf. It is time to leave it behind
I will say it can be hard to see the movements.
3. In your ini file [TRAJ] section, DEFAULT_LINEAR_VELOCITY  sets the jogging rate in inches/second. See
linuxcnc.org/docs/devel/html/config/ini-...g.html#_traj_section

Please check these settings in your ini file for each joint and heed the comments
Code:
# The values below should be 25% larger than MAX_VELOCITY and MAX_ACCELERATION # If using BACKLASH compensation STEPGEN_MAXACCEL should be 100% larger. STEPGEN_MAXVEL = 700 STEPGEN_MAXACCEL = 2000

I did find that it was pretty easy to migrate the velocities accelerations and steps per settings of Mach when I helped another user recently.

Thanks for the reply I had used the same steps settings that I had for the other table.
This is what is in mine
STEPGEN_MAXVEL = 6.25
STEPGEN_MAXACCEL = 2.12

Do you have something like this in the ini file

HOME = 30
HOME_OFFSET = 0
HOME_SEARCH_VEL = -50 This is the speed to search for the switch changing the sign will reverse the direction
HOME_LATCH_VEL = 1 The same with this so if HOME_SEARCH_VEL is -ve  make the HOME_LATCH_VEL +ve to back off the switch
HOME_FINAL_VEL = 50

Thanks Clive
I did remove the - from the home_search-vel to have the Z move up to home.
here is what is in my INI, I will be in the shop checking on the things supplied by members today. I seems I will be changing speed setting.image missing /media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png

HOME_OFFSET = 0.100000
HOME_SEARCH_VEL = 0.050000
HOME_LATCH_VEL = 0.016667
HOME_FINAL_VEL = 0.000000
HOME_USE_INDEX = NO
HOME_IGNORE_LIMITS = YES
HOME_SEQUENCE = 0

Are you saying that it is now going to home switch and then reversing to back off the switch ?

If it is not backing off the switch change the sign on HOME_LATCH_VEL
