Ok so i progressed a bit But my raik060( biss-c/ssi signal) need a master clock in order to operate

(BiSS-C / SSI):  DESCRIPTION:                           WIRE
VCC                 Power supply input Power         Red
MA+ / CLK+    Positive clock input                  Orange
MA- / CLK-         Negative clock input              Yellow
SLO- / DATA-     Negative data output             White
SLO+ / DATA+  Positive data output               Green
GND                  Ground Power                        Black

and i get some contradictory information. i read somewhere that only a 7i85 card could generate a clock and not other card like 7i76 or 7i74 ? if it is true that mean i have to rethink ma configuration.

For now i have added this to my main hal and it seams to be good, at least it don't crash

github.com/grandixximo/linuxcnc

For whomever would like to help me test the improvements, download and build, this is not in master yet, still waiting for the halcsope to get merged, I have only tested on the scope so far, will do some testing on real hardware before sending a PR to master.
Would love to have some help testing, thank you all!

still in fixing a few things, don't expect the git history to stay

Hello guys
Could you help me please?
Just i trying to use home_search_vel as a pin to link it i don't know how can catch it as a pin
Your help is appreciated

G'day everyone,

I've just spent ages reading all 235 pages and needless to say, its inspiring and certainly my next challenge! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this. I hope that one day i will be able to contribute in similar fashion though i'm limited now to just writing my own macros!

I'm about to embark on this journey with an EC500. So far I have a CMSIS-DAP Link and have connected to the board. I had to jumper the Boot_Mo and 3v3 pins to get it to read correctly with the PC.

I'm trying to do a backup of the original firmware on the board before I update with Remora. I'm having difficulty using pyocd for this process unless i do it in really small chunks (which i could do then combine it later), is there a more suitable program to use to copy the existing firmware? MCUExpresso i've seen used?

Cheers

The 7I77 and 7I77D have both been replaced by the 7I77U
The 7I77U has Universal outputs (sinking, sourcing, or push-pull,
settable on a per output basis)

There is 1 (!) left in stock at Mesa from the proto run with production to follow soon.

After this make this thread I remove the card for inspection, and when I plugged it again it works fine. Somehow the pci slot develop a bad connection.

Solved for now! Thanks

The 5V connection is not required (this is just for powering stand-alone encoders)

You might try the input test I suggested (this does require single ended jumpering)

Hi,

As far as I understand, you'll need to remap a M-code (M200-M999). There are informations here  and a thread that shows an example with python here . But as you are "only" using G-code in your M-code, you don't need to use a python script; you can simply use a ngc file and remap the M-code to it. It was six month ago so I don't remember the details, but I did something similar to send a "start" signal to a galvo laser and wait a "ready" input to move to next position and start next engraving.

Thank you Tommy for your willingness to help—I appreciate it. However, these are different types of heads compared to industrial lasers for cutting steel. The test won't be conclusive.

Thanks for your tips.

Finally I got TMC5160 working on Octopus pro board f446 version.
I have changed the spi to spi2 with new interrupt and uart to uart3. I choosen spi2 because it's on wifi connector on board which is at the edge of board, so there will be much shorter length spi cable required and it has uart3 at same place.
Thanks a lot

Hallo Mario,

Gruss,
Luca

Only the temporary test encoder was given 24V (directly, not via the 7i48) and then only briefly, so fingers crossed I haven't killed it.
The 3 encoders I need to use are the split output from 3x Yaskawa servopack, so physical encoder on back of servo is connected to the servopack, which provides a, /a, b, /b, c, /c outputs ("Divided encoder signals are output"). Unplugged from the 7i48, these are visible on an oscilloscope.
The single ended/differential jumpers were correctly set.
I watched encoder.01.position, encoder.01.rawcounts, and encoder.01.counts (iirc) while the Y axis was moving and Y encoder was wired in to the 7i48; all encoder counters remain at 0.

The one thing that stands out to me on the wiring side is that there's no route for the +5V encoder supply from the 7i48, to go into the servopack. However per the attached diagram (screenshot from the servopack manual), no +5V line is shown.

Sorry,

aber ich halte davon ziemlich wenig. Gatetreiber nimmt man dann, wenn man Gates treiben will Im Ernst. Die können hohe Ströme etc. Außerdem ziehen die nicht auf Masse sondern versorgen.

ULNs/Darlington Arrays sind perfekt für deine Anwendung. Eigentlich ebenfalls over the top. Aber schön kompakt ohne zu klein zu sein.

Ob du das jetzt fliegend verdahtests, auf Lochraster oder mittels Platine ist dir überlassen.
